The Mitra lab is exploring the molecular mechanism of ctxAB export following biogenesis in Vibrio cholerae and the possible role of chitinase activity on pathogenicity. In addition, a molecular description of the comma shape of Vibrio cholerae and its growth characteristics at different pH conditions are being investigated.
